We bet you can’t wait any longer to grab your skis or snowboard and enjoy your favourite sport. Smile, we have good news for you: in Andorra, the ski season begins on the 2nd of December!
If you don’t know about our ski resorts yet, keep reading to learn about everything the Pyrenees has to offer this winter.
88 km of skiable terrain spread over 66 pistes (6 of which are exclusively dedicated to slalom) await you in Vallnord. This domain, which includes the three areas of Pal, Arinsal and Arcalís, is located in the northwest of the country, in the mountain ranges of La Massana and Ordino to be precise.
Here you will be able to enjoy the purest alpine skiing surrounded by untouched nature thanks to the large slopes. And, if you are looking for something to fire up your emotions, you need to experience the mythical freeride areas like the iconic ‘La Capa’.
If you like to ski with your family, Vallnord has slopes with a gentler gradient, especially in the Pal sector, so you can all enjoy skiing together.
These are just a few of the reasons why this ski area was named The Best Ski Resort in Andorra for the third time by the 2016 World Ski Awards.
A combination of 6 different areas which you can ski with a single pass makes Grandvalira one of the largest ski resorts in Europe. Over 200 km of slopes means you can have non-stop fun in the snow.
Within the resort you will find pistes for all ability levels, snow parks where you can hone your freestyle skills and even areas that have been especially designed for children, like Mon(t) Màgic and Bababoom Circus.
Has this put you in the mood for some skiing?
And after a day on the slopes, we suggest that you restore your energy in the thermal waters of CALDEA. You can enjoy all the benefits of thermalism while having fun in a family atmosphere at Thermoludic, or you can disconnect from the rest of the world at INÚU, our Adults Only space, which is only accessible to visitors over 16 years of age.
