The situation that we find ourselves in has caught us all unawares. Not many of us expected that a lockdown would be enforced and that we’d all have to watch the outside world through the glass in our windows. Fortunately, we know this is just a transitional period and that our lives will return to normality. So to make the days a bit more bearable, we suggest enjoying the spirit of Caldea in your own home! Don’t miss out on these ideas that are sure to do the trick.
Charge up your batteries so you can make the most of the day. Whether you’re working remotely, taking a break or combining work with children and housework, it’s important to stay active if you want to feel good.
Devote 10 minutes to stretching. Put on some comfortable clothes and some ambient music, then spend about 20 or 30 seconds in each of the poses we suggest:
– Stretch your neck, gently tilting it to one side and then the other. Place your hands on the nape of your neck and tilt your head forwards, then remove your hands and draw your head back.
– Stretch the lower extremities. Lean against a wall, move one of your legs back (and then the other) pressing your heel to the floor to stretch your calves. Then stand up, bring your legs together and lean forward to try to touch your toes. Finally, sit on the floor, bring the soles of your feet together and use your hands to gently press down on your knees.
– Stretch your back by lying on it with your knees over your chest. Hold them and gently rock from one side to the other.
– Stretch your arms by lifting them over your head while keeping your palms together. You can also place them on your lower back and interlock your fingers as you push down.
You’ll probably be hungry after all the stretching. Don’t forget that, while you shouldn’t skip any meals, it’s important at this time to get a balanced breakfast and not to overdo the sugar. When we’re at home, we move less than we normally would… and none of us want to put on any weight, do we?
And don’t forget to keep yourself looking good. Stick to your beauty and face care routines, and make the most of the downtime to give yourself a manicure at home.
Follow this routine before going to bed and you’re sure to sleep like a baby.
Enjoy a detox tea, preferably without theine. Mint, horsetail and berries are just a few examples of herbal teas that you can drink without interfering with your sleep.
Then, run a bubble bath. Immerse yourself, close your eyes and feel the bubbles on your back… does it remind you of our hydromassage tubs? When you get out, use some moisturiser to give yourself a full-body massage. Take your time, there’s no need to rush.
We know it’s not the same as our thermal waters, but we’re confident that these routines will help you get through social distancing and enjoy the Caldea spirit at home. Relax, eventually this will all be over and you’ll be able to get back to enjoying all your favourite things. We’ll be waiting for you!
