It is now a tradition for Santa Claus to travel to Andorra a few days before Christmas in order to prepare himself for the big night. He’ll arrive from the North Pole on his magic sledge, pulled by Rudolf and the other reindeer, and accompanied by his elves. On arrival, Father Christmas will park his sledge and come down through the Tower of Caldea by rappelling, as if it were a giant, open-air chimney. We are very excited about enjoying this thrilling moment with you. Adults and children will be able to see how Santa slides from the tower to the Parc del Roure, the children’s park opposite Caldea.
Next, there will be a special tea party with hot chocolate, juices and cakes to welcome Father Christmas and celebrate his arrival, at the foot of the stairs leading to the thermal spa. Girls and boys who have not yet sent their letters will have the opportunity to deliver them personally, thus ensuring that they reach the right person. It will be an afternoon of happiness and excitement during which you will be sure to see many smiles on your children’s faces, while you yourself re-live the magic of Christmas. Don’t miss this great occasion, which starts at 16.15 on Monday, 23rd December, and get ready to experience a very special evening, awaiting the day that every child has been longing for.
And if you will be staying for a few more days in Andorra, you will find countless Christmastime activities spread all over the country, to be enjoyed as a family. Visit the traditional market, with its products typical of this country, or stroll through the streets, decorated and illuminated for the occasion. Go down the 35-metre slide on a sledge – you will find it in the centre of Andorra la Vella – discover the figures in the Christmas crib… and much more. You’ll have a great time this Christmas!
